Big Changes

As of right now life is picking up the pace. I apologize for not posting in a while, but hopefully you will see why. Here are the updates.

Elise: Accepted a new job as manager at a men's housing complex called Rockland. It provided a better way for Hutch to just go to school and not have to worry about work. Though it did bring about it's financial problems because we had to move on site and I did take a pay cut (i.e. trying to sell the townhouse we bought in August, selling a car and the other bills we have)

It definitely was for the best though. I am definitely happier here than at my previous job and the management is awesome! We have a tight-knit community of managers in Rexburg housing and it is fun to get to know them. This job has definitely come with it's challenges, but hopefully I have found ways to overcome them and make this property better than it was before.

Hutch: Is doing really well with school. It definitely helps to not be working. He is able to focus on his hard classes like chemistry and medical terminology. He is playing football for the school right now and is loving it. His team is undefeated and usually wins their game by 30 pts or more. They did switch to 9-man this season because of the lack of participation. It definitely gives Hutch more playing time.

Talon is also loving the fact that dad is home more. He has started wanting to do things just like dad and do his hair for church like dad and comment on everything dad is doing. If Hutch comes home and hasn't taken a shower, Talon encouragingly tells dad, "Dada take a shower?" while smiling and nodding for confirmation.

So, onto our man of the house. Talon is getting to be a little man more and more everyday. He surprises us with words we didn't know he knew and he talks so well. We have the best conversations. He is enjoying living in the complex. Any time he sees a guy walking by he waves and says hi. He definitely is coming out of his shell more. Our friend from Hutch's parent's ward just graduated high school and she comes and babysits Talon most days and he just absolutely adores her. I'm so glad he is able to go out and play and do fun things that I can't do with him. She is a blessing for sure!

The best thing, Talon is excited for "baby dister" to come along. He can't say sister quite right, but he knows exactly where she is (in mommy's tummy) and loves to give her kisses. He LOVES babies! He loves wrapping up his animals in his blanket and putting them to sleep in his bed. He is going to be a great big brother. I can't wait until they can play games and annoy each other.

As for little sister, she has 7 more weeks. Though it feels as if she is ready to come out right now. She doesn't stay still at any time of day and you can definitely tell when she hears Talon. She starts pushing her pointy edges (just like her father) out as if she wants to come and play. It is amazing to think that they probably were the best of friends in Heaven. I kind of hope she comes early, for my sake and for Talon's.

Well, for now that is what we are up against. Life is good and we can't complain. It's heating up here so Summer is finally here! Hope all is going well with everyone and we will try to keep you up to date!
